I've always heard it as "see here" since it's a self-reflexive line referring to the previous verses. Yes, it's a song so "see hear" somewhat makes sense since one is seeing and hearing the story but when the phrase is used in everyday speech it's "see here" so I'm quite sure that's what Hunter primarily meant although he does seem to like to use homonyms to imply double meanings. Like in "Help on the Way": "making it too(two?)/Without love in the dream it'll never come true." The homonymic resonance of "two" is interesting because the whole song is about the unfolding dynamics between two identities.
